Valley View Restauant in

Mt. Bethel, PA

Just a couple of miles from the New Jersey/Pennsylvania border, down a winding country road, in the middle of 16 acres, sits a barn dating back to 1890. Cared for and remodeled, the barn is now the home of Valley View Inn and Restaurant, which provides a distinctive wedding reception venue.

To enter the grounds of Valley View Restaurant you must drive down a tree-lined lane. On one side of the lane is an expansive orchard. There is a pond on the property which is a lovely backdrop for an outdoor ceremony complete with trellis. There is also a room within the restaurant that can be transformed for a ceremony.

The reception room boasts an huge stone fireplace and loft that are original to the barn. Brick, stone, stucco and wood beams give the room a romantic, Medieval feeling.  Sconces adorning the walls add to the flavor. Two hundred guests can be accommodated on the lower level with an additional 40 in the loft area. Another room is available for parties of up to 50 guests.

Valley View prides itself on having a country-style atmosphere and taking one wedding per day. Brigitte, the wedding coordinator, works with couples to make their wedding day special. Reasonable packages are available for buffet or sit-down dining.

Dinner is also served at the restaurant on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. They have earned a reputation for fine dining through the efforts of their chef, who has been with them for six years. Born and trained in France, he worked in  Manhattan before coming to the Poconos.
