Obtaining a Pennsylvania Marriage
License
Both applicants must be present and 18 years of age or older. If
either applicant is under 18 years old their parent or guardian
must be present.
Bring the following items:
- Drivers license and/or
birth certificate - guardians must supply this information
also (call courthouse to obtain specific requirements)
- Social
Security Card
- If either party has been married previously,
present divorce decree or death certificate.
- $50 cash (fees vary
between courthouses)
There is a three day
waiting period, not including the date of application. The
license is valid for 60 days and is good anywhere in Pennsylvania.
