Sparkle, shimmer, or bling.
Whatever you call it, it is everywhere, and bridal bouquets are no exception. Crystal beads and rhinestones or other precious and semi-precious stones can accent the flowers within a bouquet or adorn the handle.
If your wedding dress has beaded or bejeweled appliques and trim, provide your florist with a picture. They should be able to provide bouquet accessories to match. If you have chosen a simple, tailored gown without beading, a bouquet with sparkle will add zest to the overall look.
There are many ways to add glitz to your bouquet. A few key flowers can be accented for a subtle look. Or jewels can be prevalent and used as filler. The possibilities are only limited by the imagination.
The handle of the bouquet gets star treatment by being wrapped with strings of beads. Swarovski crystals can be placed in a design customized for the bride and groom.
After the wedding is over and the day is a beautiful memory, the jewels and crystals from your bouquet can become a keepsake. If your florist uses jewelry quality pieces, they can be re-strung into a bracelet or necklace. Crystal can be hung in a window or on a rear view mirror to catch light. However the beads are reincarnated, they will serve as a lasting reminder of your day.
