The French Manor -

Intimate and Romantic

Intimacy and romance are what makes a wedding day special. The French Manor provides that and throws in beautiful scenery to make your day unforgettable.

The French Manor was built in 1932 by a wealthy art collector. The unique stone chateau (modeled after an actual French manor) was erected atop secluded Huckleberry Mountain in South Sterling. The mountain views from the veranda and grounds

are beautiful.

The most spectacular view is from the bi-level suite located in the turret of the main house. This is one of the Bridal Suite options. There are suites available in a

seperate building boasting jacuzzis and fireplaces.

If guests are spending the night or weekend they can stay at The French Manor or their sister Inn, The Sterling Inn, which is located only two miles away. The distinctive dining room features exposed beams made of a rare cypress wood. It is so beautiful and unusual that you are compelled to touch it to see if it is real.

At each end of the room are grand stucco fireplaces that extend from floor to ceiling. The elements combine to create a warm old-world atmosphere. The dining room opens to a flagstone veranda that steps down to a great lawn with many options for a scenic ceremony.

The most popular location for the nuptuals is next to the veranda. This spot has guests seated on the wide terrace stairs looking out at the mountains. A trellis is available to define the space for the wedding ceremony.

Genevieve customizes the menu of French and continental cuisine to suit the bride and groom. Receptions of up to 75 people can be held in the main dining room or up to 200 can be accommodated utilizing the terrace.
